What is the eligibility criteria?
  1. Individual Providers: Clinical Psychologists, Counselors, and Psychiatrists.
    • To register with the PMHC the applying clinician (individuals or those working with organizations) must have the below mentioned credentials:
    • Psychiatrist: Completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. Completed MCPS/FCPS in Psychiatry.
    • Clinical Psychologist: Completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology, a four-year program. Completed a MS, MPhil, PhD, PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology (18 years of education minimum)
    • Counselors: Completed a Bachelors, a four-year program. Completed diploma in clinical psychology, psychology and social work, educational psychology or mental health counselling
    • Lay Counsellors: At least an intermediate level of education and undergo a 5- day training in Basic Counselling Skills, facilitated by a qualified Clinical Psychologist. (Only counsellors affiliated with an institution will be considered; individual lay counsellors are not eligible.)
  2. Organizations: Hospitals, Clinics, Online Service Providers and Nonprofits.

While there is an official criterion for practicing as a psychiatrist, no such official standard currently exists for psychologists or counselors. In the interest of public safety and social responsibility, the Pakistan Mental Health Coalition (PMHC) has collaboratively established this criterion to determine eligibility for inclusion in the directory.

Our officials will call at the provided contact number to confirm and subsequently remove your listing. Please note that we will not restore your profile, and if you wish to register again, you will be required to Sign Up as a Service Provider.
